Lockyer’s provides the important middle phase in your child’s education. As Headteacher, I would like to stress the importance I place on high academic standards, positive attitude and good behaviour. The school will actively promote a 'can do' culture and will focus on raising achievement in all areas of school life.
The home/school partnership will be a real one and we will have, I hope, high expectations of each other so that we can ensure your child’s smooth progress and the realisation of potential. Education is not something to be treated lightly. It gives future opportunities.
The middle years are a time of great physical, emotional and intellectual development and it is our aim to ensure that these developments take place successfully in a caring and stimulating environment. We take pride in the achievements of our pupils, both within the classroom and out of it.
You will gain an idea of our aims, values and organisation from reading the school brochure. You will also have many opportunities to visit the school and learn more. We are always willing to meet with parents to discuss any points you may wish to raise. I hope that you will feel involved from the outset and that your child has a happy and successful time at Lockyer’s.
