On Monday 17th July, the School Council's 'Hidden Haven' garden was officially opened. The School Council representatives, with the help of Mrs Shivas and Chloe Jenkin, Pupil Chair, have raised money over the academic year through car boot sales, a book stall and Summer Fair games stalls. They managed to raise nearly £300 towards benches, rugs and plants.
The Friends of Lockyer's kindly donated money to buy garden furniture and the Rotary Club of Wimborne kindly purchased a storage bench and a shed to house picnic rugs, cushions and parasols.
This lovely space can now be used for 'The Hub' at lunchtimes and by teachers as an outdoor classroom.
Many thanks must go to Mr Chris Costin, School Governor, for his manpower and furniture building talents. We would have struggled without you!
