All absences from school must be explained in writing by a child's parent / guardian.
If your child is absent from school, the school office must be contacted via telephone before 9.00am on 01202 692779.
There is an answer phone facility for messages to be left.
Alternatively you can report an absence by emailing our dedicated email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
The school office will contact home to explore all unexplained absences as soon as it is possible each morning.
If your child is taken ill or injured whilst at school, first aid will be given and you will be contacted if it is felt that the child should go home.
In more serious cases, the child will be taken to hospital. It is important to have up to date emergency telephone numbers which can be used to contact parents.
Parents are reminded that under current Government regulations, the only official reasons for absence are illness, visits for medical treatment and special leave in extenuating circumstances.
